Bank on San Francisco is a pioneer program in San Francisco which helps poor, traditionally undocumented, and homeless individuals open starter savings accounts and avoid predatory check-cashing outlets.

The program, first of its kind in the U.S., is a joint effort of City Treasurer José Cisneros, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and the non-profit group EARN.
