Provides outpatient Medically Monitored Opiate Withdrawal Services through the California Detoxification Program (CDP). Methadone Maintenance and Drug Free Treatment Programs are the primary service specialties of BAART. The Family Addiction Center for Education and Treatment (FACET) program offers services for pregnant drug users who are anxious to stop using drugs and hoping to optimize their chances of delivering a healthy baby. All of BAARTS programs are sensitive to the specialized needs of clients including those struggling with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C or other addiction related disorders. Primary medical services are offered to BAART and CDP patients, their family members and community-at-large.
To enter treatment, a prospective patient must be at least 18 years of age (or have authorization from the Department of Health, or written consent from a parent or guardian), provide identification in the form of a driver's license or U.S. passport, and show evidence of addiction to heroin or other opiates through physical or physiological symptoms.
Not free of charge, but Medi-Cal accepted. Both clinic locations are wheelchair accessible. Spanish
