Provides tenant-based housing subsidies, child care subsidies, family activities and comprehensive case management to assist HIV affected families to secure and maintain permanent housing.
Eligibility requirements: Single women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, who are residents of San Francisco County and living with disabling HIV/AIDS, and their children. Must have the capacity for independent living. For housing: three months of sobriety/methadone maintenance is required. Applicants for housing must be referred through the Centralized Housing Information and Placement Services (CHIPS) agency. No walk-ins. Waiting list, wheelchair accessible. No fee for services, but 30% of adjusted gross income must be paid for housing.
