DREDF is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities. DREDF offers education , training and technical assistance to persons with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities, lawyers, and service providers about disability civil rights laws and policies. Parent advocates are available by phone to provide assistance on special education services to parents of children with disabilities and professionals. DREDF takes high impact cases that affect as many people as possible and are most likely to significantly advance disability rights laws. If you believe you have been discriminated against based on disability and would like DREDF to consider your case, send a written request for representation to DREDF, ATTN: Intake, outlining the facts of your situation. In some instances, it may take up to three months for a response.
Dredf focuses on high profile cases and does not provide individual services or advocacy for individual cases of discrimination for disabled adults. DREDF does no work for homeless disabled in shelters or social services, even when you walk or roll in. THIS SHOULD NOT BE LISTED under sf homeless.
