Info from Western Edition story, August 31, 2010 (See link below):

"Founded in 1983, the organization began as a response to hunger in San Francisco. Currently, the association consists of one staff member, a board of directors, volunteers from the surrounding community and private, foundation and corporate donors of monetary and in-kind support. With the ultimate goal of feeding the hungry, the Haight Ashbury Food Program, or HAFP, operates through various programs, chiefly the Pantry Program – a farmers’ market-style weekly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables, canned foods, bread and rice."

2013-2014 HAP Manual UpdatesEdit

The 2013-2014 HAP Manual has many changes that are not currently part of SFHomeless.net. The question is whether the wiki or the manual contains the most up to date information. The most efficient way to ensure the wiki has the best information is to add the 2013-2014 HAP Manual text into its respective wiki agency page under a new section “2013-2014 HAP Manual Updates”. It will then be up to future wiki users to determine whether and how to update the agency page with the new information.
