M, W, Th: 9am-5pm (closed 12pm-1pm) and Tues: 1-5. Call for appointment.

Provides advocacy for mentally disabled homeless individuals applying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Also provides information and referral to shelter, food, physical and mental health treatment, and substance abuse programs. SSI and CalWorks advocacy for families and welfare to work sanction status. This program is similar in many ways to the Homeless Advocacy Project in San Francisco, but focuses more exclusively on SSI advocacy, and serves residents of the East Bay. Offers several legal clinics, call for information.
