The SF AIDS Foundation provides numerous supports for those living with AIDS. These include support groups (homo and heterosexual, Latino, transgender/sexual, etc), financial assistance, housing, medical care, and other needed services. The AIDS Foundation is connected to many other resources in the area, including Magnet, Black Brothers Esteem (BBE), El Groupo, The Speed Project, HIV Prevention Project, and the Stonewall Project. Provides HIV+ individuals and HIV/AIDS service providers with accurate and timely information on housing resources. Contact an HIV/AIDS service provider or drop in at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation to obtain a Housing Wait List (HWL) form. Please call M-F 9am-5pm if you are on the waitlist for information on housing resources.
Provides financial benefits (including SSI), counseling, advocacy, case management, information/referrals, emergency housing for people with AIDS. All services require intake, initial (local) letter of diagnosis for individuals with HIV and proof of San Francisco residency. THE AIDS HOUSING WAIT LIST HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE 2001 AND IS NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. Offers hotel vouchers for emergency and transitional housing, housing planning and consultation and referrals to shelters and other housing programs. Also has a rental subsidy program that receives its client referrals from the city's AIDS Housing Wait List.
