Provides free legal representation to indigent persons in the following types of cases: Criminal (misdemeanor and felony) cases in Municipal and Superior Courts of San Francisco, including post-conviction motions for expungement and certificates of rehabilitation, juvenile cases arising out of Juvenile Court in San Francisco, (see below); and mental health cases for Mental Health Court in San Francisco. Call first. All languages (interpreters provided) Wheelchair accessible. Free to indigents.

Public defenders are appointed by the court to all juveniles charged with misdemeanor or felony offenses. No traffic court appearances.
