San Francisco Health Commission

The San Francisco Public Health Commission is composed of commissioners appointed by the Mayor who govern and make policy for the Department of Public Health. Their mission is to manage and control municipal hospitals, to monitor and regulate emergency medical services, and all matters pertaining to the preservation, promotion and protection of the lives, health and mental health of all San Francisco residents, including its homeless residents.
