Provides Regional Transit I.D. cards to elderly people (65 or older) and individuals with physical or mental disabilities so they are eligible to receive discount fares on over 15 transit systems in the greater Bay Area, including AC transit, BART, Caltrain, MUNI, and SamTrans. To apply call MUNI at 415-923-6070 or any of the participating transit systems. Seniors age 65 or older, individuals with a DMV placard, and Medicare cardholders can fill out a Basic Application Form. All other consumers must fill out a brief Certification Form requiring a doctor's verification of need. Once completed the form can be dropped of at the MUNI Transit Office at 2630 Geary Street @ Masonic Avenue. Discount I.D. card users are charged reduced fares when using participating transit systems. Wheelchair accessible.
